All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Sonia Gandhi has formed a committee to plan sustained agitations on national issues with immediate effect.
Rajya Sabha MP and former Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora has been included in the party committee.
The AICC committee has Digvijay Singh, MP as its chairman, said a press statement issued by All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary KC Venugopal.
The other members of the committee are Priyanka Gandhi, Uttam Kumar Reddy, MP, Manish Chatrath, BK Hariprasad, Udit Raj, Dr. Ragini Nayak and Zuber khan.
On Wednesday, Congress president Sonia Gandhi formed another committee to plan and coordinate the one-year-long celebration of the 75th anniversary of Independence.
The Congress president included the name of Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi in the All India Congress Committee.
Sharing this information on Wednesday, All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary KC Venugopal in a press statement said: “Congress president has constituted the following committee to plan and coordinate the one-year-long celebration of 75th anniversary of Independence with immediate effect.”
Venugopal said the committee constituted by the Congress president has former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh as the chairman.
Mukul Wasnik has been given the responsibility of the Congress committee’s convenor.
