The outgoing Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi on Friday sat on the bench for the last time in court number 1 of the Supreme Court.
CJI designate SA Bobde also sat with the CJI and SC Bar Association president Rakesh Khanna expressed gratitude on behalf of the Bar to Gogoi.
CJI Ranjan Gogoi will demit office on Sunday.
The CJI, later on, the day, visit Raj Ghat and pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi.
He will also likely to have a video conference with 650 high court judges from across the country and 15,000 judicial officers.
During the video conferencing, the CJI will deliver his message to all judges and judicial officers of the country.
