Officials from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have arrested an employee from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in Guwahati on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 3 thousand.
The arrested employee has been identified as Bimalanshu Bhattacharya.
CBI sources said Bhattacharya allegedly demanded the bribe amount from a person for releasing his PF.
On Saturday, the CBI sleuths caught the EPFO employee red-handed while accepting the bribe.

Bhattacharya was produced before a special CBI court on Saturday, which sent him to three-day custody of the central agency.
