In another seizure, personnel of Government Railway Police (GRPS) on Tuesday seized 14 packets of suspected cannabis (ganja) weighing around 70 kg at Guwahati railway station.
The seizure was made at around 8 am on Tuesday morning.

The contraband substances were found concealed under the seats in coach number A-1 of train number 20501 Agartalla – Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express.
Four persons have been apprehended in this connection. They have been identified Md Prabir Alam, aged 36 years and son of Late Abu Kalam of village Gajaria under Bishalganj police station in West Tripura district of Tripura; Rushi Begum, wife of Md Prabir Alam; Md Ashraful Alam, aged 24 years and son of Md Jainul Hoque of village Gulakandi under Ratabari police station of Karimganj district in Assam; and Sumit Mishra, aged 23 year and son of Madhu Prasad Mishra of Faijabad district in Uttar Pradesh.
In this regard a case has been registered and investigated is on.

Notably Sumit Mishra was in CRPF fatigue and the trunk he carried was written as CRPF to conceal his identity.
