Several flights have been cancelled from Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati on Sunday due to protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).

The flights include 6E 596(Kolkata), 6E 112(Agartala), 6E 119(Agartala), 6E 694(Delhi-Ghy), KB 541(Paro) AI 891 and AI 892.

Due to the raging protests against the CAA, flight and train services have been severely affected in Assam.

A large number of passengers had to be either stranded at the airport and railway stations as the schedule of flights and flights got delayed or cancelled.

However, traffic flow on Guwahati roads has been increased on Sunday.

A large number of public vehicles were seen plying on the roads in the city.

Most of the residents of the city have also utilized the service of public vehicles on Sunday.

The curfew clamped in Guwahati  has been relaxed for 9 hours on Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm, giving some respite to the citizens.

Mobile internet services, however, have remained suspended.
