Sensation prevails after the attack on the convoy of UPPL president Promod Boro on Wednesday evening at Nayekgaon under Kokrajhar police station.
The poll violence took place on the eve of the second phase of BTC polls in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts to be held on December 10.

Boro’s convoy was attacked by miscreants on his way to Kokrajhar from Chirang at around 5.45 pm on Wednesday.
Four vehicles including Boro’s bullet-proof vehicle, provided by the police administration, were damaged in the attack.
The driver of Promod Boro’s vehicle received injuries in the attack.

United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) president Boro while talking to media persons said his convoy was “attacked by BPF supporters” when he was coming to Kokrajhar in which their vehicles were damaged.
Boro said he prevented his PSOs and security personnel from opening fire or retaliating.
He strongly condemned the incident and urged the district administration to take prompt action on the attackers.
Meanwhile, the vehicle of UPPL candidate for Baokhungri seat, Pratibha Brahma, was also attacked by miscreants.
Brahma was attacked at Tintila under Kokrajhar police station at around 4.30 pm while she was returning after visiting her constituency.
However, no one was injured. But her vehicle was damaged.
FIRs have been lodged in Kokrajhar police station in the evening.
Former Rajya Sabha MP and the founder of UPPL, UG Brahma, has strongly condemned both the incidents.
