The railway police on Monday arrested two persons and recovered a consignment of 45 kg of ganja from their possession at Guwahati Railway Station.

The police said the arrested persons are brother and sister.

The accused man has been identified as 28-year-old Wabor Kharpuri Chinrem and the woman has been identified as 32-year-old Dorisa Chinrem.

The brother-sister duo hails from East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya and their father’s name is Drobel Chinrem.

The duo has been arrested from the DBRT Rajdhani Express (12423) at 7 am on Monday.
