The border disputes of Assam with its neighbouring states of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya are likely to get resolved by the end of 2022. 

This was stated by Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday.

He was speaking to the media on the side-lines of the second day of the Assam SPs conference held at the oil town of Duliajan. 

“I am certain that Assam’s border issues with Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh will get over by the end of 2022,” said CM Sarma.

However, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Assam’s border issues with the states of Mizoram and Nagaland would take some time. 

“Resolving border issues with Mizoram and Nagaland would take some time as it is a complicated matter,” said Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
