Raising serious concern over the fact that Udalguri district of Assam remained at the notch of the bottom in HSLC performance this year, the Udalguri district administration held a review meeting with the teachers and other stakeholders at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office in Udalguri on Monday.

The meet discussed at length various reasons for the fall-out and suggested various measures to excel the performance of the students with combined efforts of teachers and students.

The meet chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Dilip Kr Das was attended by ADC, Bhaskar Jyoti Manta; secretary of Academic Council, Ganesh Mushahari along with headmasters, principals and representatives of 81 provincialized and non-provincialized high and higher secondary level schools of Udalguri.

The Deputy Commissioner and ADC Manta expressed grave concern over two schools in the district which scored a duck in the HSLC examination.

The bureaucrats expressed dissatisfaction over the lame reasons cited by the headmaster and assistant teacher of Pub Panery High School and Meseka Pukuri High School.

Das exhorted the teachers to take it up as a challenge for producing cent per cent results in future.

He further stated that the district administration will strictly monitor on the schools of the district and provide all necessary support.
