With 113 more positive cases, the overall COVID19 tally in Assam has crossed 3,000-mark.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet at 12.11 am on Wednesday confirmed that with the new 113 new cases, the number of COVID19 positive cases registered in the state has gone up to 3,050.

The health minister Sarma informed that the positive cases have been reported from 13 districts of the state.
Sarma said Hojai has reported 21 COVID19 positive cases, Udalguri has reported 20 cases, Tinsukia district has reported 17 cases and Nagaon has reported 16 cases.
A total of 12 cases have been reported from Barpeta, 9 cases have been reported from Goalpara and 5 positive cases have been reported from Bongaigaon.

Sarma said 4 positive cases have been reported from Kamrup Metro district, 3 positive cases have been reported from Dibrugarh district, Jorhat has reported 2 cases and one each COVID19 case has been detected in Chirang, Karimganj, Basistha in Guwahati and Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in the city MMCH

With the new cases, the number of active COVID19 cases in Assam stands at 1,945.
Earlier, a total of 1,097 COVID19 patients were discharged from various hospitals across Assam after their recovery.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 5 persons while 3 cases have migrated from the state.
