USA based Assamese lady Mitra Kalita has been honoured with the title of ‘More Powerful Women’ by leading media company Cablefox.
Cablefox annually honours some of the top women in the media industry who had managed to raise the bar for themselves with their strong skills and bold leadership.

Kalita has been awarded in the ‘Digital’ category among the list of ‘More Powerful Women’ by Cablefox.
She is currently the senior vice president of digital news and programming section of CNN.
According to Cablefox, Kalita “leads the national news desk and efforts to share CNN’s storytelling across all platforms.”

“She has oversight for the Entertainment team, News & Alerting and Mobile & Off-Platform teams, with more than 150 journalists around the globe reporting to her” stated Cablefox.
“Outside of CNN, Kalita also works within Warner Media to a support a diverse and inclusive workplace,” it further stated.
Kalita, who had earlier worked in many leading media houses, is also the mother of two daughters and is settled in New York.
