A Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) was killed and another was seriously injured in a bike accident that took place at Ketetong Babu Pathar under Margherita police station in Tinsukia district on Sunday afternoon.
The road mishap occurred when two bikes coming from opposite director collided head-on, said eyewitnesses in which a VFA was killed and another bike rider was injured.

The deceased has been identified as Raju Kalita, a Veterinary Field Assistant and resident of Ketetong Nakong Pathar in Margherita.
According to sources, Kalita, who was seriously injured in the mishap, succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
In the incident, Sunil Soy, a resident of Khamon Pathar area, was also seriously injured.

He was immediately taken to the hospital.
The body of the deceased was sent to conduct post-mortem.
