The body of one youth, who drowned in the Jiadhal river in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday along with a friend of his, was found floating in the river near Barmangaon on Sunday.
The youth has been identified as Arindam Boruah (25).
As per sources, five youths of Dhemaji town went to Jiadhalmukh at Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday when Arindam and his friend Bhupendra Narah (24) drowned in the river.
Reportedly, the two youths swam in the upper portion of the Jiadhal river and they were gradually swept away into the deeper portion of the river as strong currents immediately washed away both of them.
A team of NDRF arrived at the spot and conducted a rapid search in the river. But their attempts were in vain.
Arindam is a permanent resident of Dhemaji Ratanpur and did his B Tech and was serving in Delhi.
Meanwhile, Bhupendra Narah was studying in the final semester of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
