Assam: Train services affected due to derailment of goods train in Dima Hasao

Train services have been affected on Lumding–Badarpur hill section of NF Railways due to derailment of a goods train in southern Assam’s Hima Hasao district.

NF Railway official said about 20 wagons and one pair wheel of the banking engine of a fertilizer laden goods train derailed in the area between Dautohaja and Phiding stations in Dima Hasao district at around 11 am on Monday.  No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

“Immediately on receipt of the information, Accident Relief Trains left for the site from Badarpur as well as Lumding for undertaking restoration work. Senior officers of Lumding Division are at site monitoring the restoration work,” Pranav Jyoti Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), NF Railway said.

As a result of the derailment the following train have to be either cancelled or short terminated.

Train no 15601 Silchar – New Delhi Poorvattar Sampark Kranti Express scheduled to leave from Silchar on August 24 will remain cancel between Silchar and New Delhi.

Train no 20501 Agartala – Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express scheduled to leave from Agartala on August 24 will remain cancel between Agartala and Anand Vihar.

Train no 12504 Agartala – Bangalore Humsafar Express scheduled to leave from Agartala on August 25 will remain cancel between Agartala and Bangalore.

Train no 15611 Guwahati – Silchar Express scheduled to leave from Guwahati on August 24 will remain cancel between Guwahati and Silchar.

Train no 15944 Dibrugarh – Silchar Express scheduled to leave from Dibrugarh on August 24 will remain cancel between Dibrugarh and Silchar.

Train no 15943 Silchar – Dibrugarh Express scheduled to leave from Silchar on August 25 will remain cancel between Silchar and Dibrugarh.

Train no 15612 Silchar – Guwahati Express scheduled to leave from Silchar on Augist 26 will remain cancel between Silchar and Guwahati.

Train no 55616 Silchar – Guwahati Passenger scheduled to leave from Silchar on August 25 will remain cancel between Silchar and Guwahati.

Train no 55615 Guwahati – Silchar Passenger scheduled to leave from Guwahati on August 24 and 25 will remain cancel between Silchar and Guwahati.

Train no 55616 Silchar – Guwahati passenger of August 24 has been short terminated at New Haflong and will remain partially cancelled between New Haflong and Guwahati.

Train no 13176 Silchar – Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express of August 24 has been short terminated at Badarpur and will partially remain cancelled between Badarpur and Lumding.

Train no 13173 Sealdah – Agartala Kanchanjungha Express of August 24 has been short terminated at Maibong and will partially remain cancelled between Maibang and Agartala.

Train no 13175 Sealdah – Silchar Kanchanjungha Express of August 24 will be short terminated at Lumding and will partially remain cancelled between Lumding and Silchar.
