Guwahati: Three faculty members of the Department of Chemical Sciences at Tezpur University have been ranked among the world’s top 5 per cent scientists in the 2025 SciRank Global Scientist Index.
The faculty members are Utpal Bora, Pankaj Bharali and Bipul Chandra Sarma.
The SciRank Global Scientist Index is an international ranking that assesses based on scholarly output, citation impact and overall scientific contributions.
According to the university, the index analyses millions of active researcher profiles and scientific publications from around the world using a bibliometric framework to identify researchers with significant scientific impact.
The recognition places the three faculty members among the top-performing researchers globally and reflects the research activities being carried out in the Department of Chemical Sciences at Tezpur University.
University officials said the achievement reflects the department’s research output and its contribution to the scientific community.
