Tea garden workers receiving financial assistance under CBDPM scheme in North Lakhimpur

Several people of the tea tribe community have received financial assistance under the Assam Chah Bagichar Dhan Puraskar Mela (CBDPM) at the Koilamari Tea Estate in North Lakhimpur.

Lakhimpur MP Pradhan Baruah distributed copies of sanctioned amounts to the beneficiaries during a ceremonial distribution of the third phase of CBDPM held at the Koilamari Tea Estate on Thursday.

Launched in 2017-2018, the CBDPM is a scheme to bring tea labourers closer to the banking sector and thus promote cashless transactions.
