Tamulpur MLA Leho Ram Boro passed away at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) on Saturday morning due to Covid19.
The news has been confirmed by the chief executive member (CEM) Bodoland Territorial Council and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod Boro.

Leho Ram Boro won the Assam Assembly election 2021 on United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) ticket.
Sharing the news on his Facebook page, Pramod Boro said, “We have lost our dearly Shri Lehoram Boro, MLA of Tamulpur LAC, today.”
“His sudden demise is a significant loss to the Tamulpur region and the entire UPPL family. He devoted most of his life to the development and upliftment of the region,” Boro wrote.

He tested positive for COVID a few days back.
During his treatment in the GMCH for Covid19, the MLA suffered a stroke, the CEM said.
“At the time of treatment at GMCH, he suffered a stroke and succumbed to death at the hospital,” Boro said.
“May his soul rest in peace and always be in heavenly abode,” he added.
Pranab Boro, executive member of the Bodo Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC) has also condoled the demise of the MLA.
“My deepest condolences on the demise of Shrjt. Leho Ram Boro, 1st time winning candidate from UPPL and the MLA from Tamulpur LAC. Today he passed away at GMCH after suffering from COVID-19. My condolences for his family and well wishers,” Pranab Boro tweeted on Saturday.

Majendra Narzary passed away at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).
