Assam Special Director General of Police (Law & Order) GP Singh‘s daughter Aishwarya Singh secured 97th rank in the civil services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Sharing the news, GP Singh, who is also serving as the director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption and chief of the Anti-Rhino Poaching Task Force, Assam, tweeted:  “Sharing a good news. My daughter Aishwarya has secured All India 97th Rank in the Civil Services Exam.”

While sharing the tweet by Special DGP GP Singh, Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has congratulated Aishwarya Singh.

DGP Mahanta tweeted: “Congratulation dear Aishwarya! You’ve made all of us so so proud!”

He added, “A power house of talent since your childhood, what a privilege it is to see you arrive at this momentous milestone!”

“I’m sure, this is the beginning of a glorious professional life in serving this great nation,” Mahanta further said.

Ahmed Hasanuzzaman Choudhury from Assam also cracked the UPSC civil services examinations 2020, results of which were declared on Friday.

Choudhury, son of retired Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL) Chief General Manager (CGM) Jakir Ahmed Choudhury, secured the 283rd position in the examination.

He is a resident of Lakhirband in south Assam’s Hailakandi district and completed his bachelor of engineering from Jamia Milia Islamia University.

The UPSC announced the final results of the civil services examination 2020 and said a total of 761candidates, including 545 men and 216 women, have been recommended for appointment.
