Dibrugarh: Following the recent recoveries of explosives planted by the ULFA (Independent) across Assam, Special DGP Harmeet Singh convened a law and order review meeting at BCPL in Dibrugarh.

The meeting aimed to strategize and strengthen security measures to protect the public.

Following the meeting, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the recoveries with the primary focus being public safety and security.

The Special DGP announced that those involved will face severe consequences once they are nabbed.

A thorough investigation will determine the nature of the substances and hold the responsible parties accountable, he said.

The police have also sought information from the public to aid their ongoing investigation.

A cash reward of Rs 5 lakh was offered for concrete leads.
