SILCHAR: Troopers of Assam Rifles, in collaboration with personnel and officials of Sonai police station in Cachar district of Assam, conducted a joint operation, resulting a sizeable seizure of narcotics substances.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 572 grams of heroin valued at Rs 4.04 crore and apprehension of one drug peddler.
The confiscated narcotics were handed over to the Sonai police station in Cachar district of Assam, for further investigation and legal proceedings.
