Assam: SEBA to conduct compartmental exam from July 1

The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) on Wednesday declared the dates of the HSLC/AHM compartmental examination this year.

According to the provisional programme issued by Nayan Jyoti Sarmah, controller of examinations, SEBA, the compartmental examination will begin on July 1.

The SEBA released the programme for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) on the same day when it announced the results of HSLC and AHM Examination, 2019.

According to information, the students can apply online for the compartmental examination through a portal which will be opened by SEBA on May 17.

The results of the examination will be declared by July 30, 2019.

As per the programme, the compartmental examination will end on July 6, 2019.

In the morning, the examination will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and in the afternoon, it will be held from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

The subject details will be notified after the closing of the online portal to be opened for the compartmental examination.

Assam education minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya while talking to media persons after the announcement of the Class 10 examination results informed that 40 per cent of the students, who appeared in the examination, could not clear the examination.

He also informed that the pass percentage of 289 schools across the state was zero to 9 only.
