SEBA chairman RC Jain on Tuesday said these  have been introduced because they will give students more career options in the future. “These three new elective subjects, that the students are going to appear in from the next year, have been introduced after analyzing the commercial aspects that they have to offer.

Students will now get an option to hone their skills in these areas and they will have better career prospects,” he said, reports TOI.

SEBA controller of examinations, Nayan Jyoti Sharma, said 4.36 lakh students have registered for the Class X board exams in 2019. This is a significant increase as 4.05 lakh students appeared for the exams this year. This number is set to further increase up to 4.46 lakh in 2020, Sharma said.
