Loan sanction letters to altogether 305 beneficiaries covering a total amount of Rs 11.5 crore at Mangaldai in Assam’s Darrang on Thursday.
These loans have been distributed on the launching day of the second phase of the two day customer outreach initiative programme.
It has been organized by State Bank of India, Regional Business Office, Tezpur in association with the lead district manager.
The process of the loan sanction letters distribution was ceremonially started by district development commissioner Sweety Gogoi Kalita in presence of several senior officials of the different financial establishments and the state government departments.
The dignitaries included Ajanta Hazarika, AGM, SBI, Tezpur, Rupali Kalita, MD, North East Small Finance Bank, B P Karmakar, lead district manager, Darrang, Abhijit Deuri, DGM, NABARD, Darrang, Arup Kr Das, Chief Manager, SBI, Mangaldai and Manimala Gogoi, district information and public relation officer among others.
Stalls displaying various customer services by the branches of nineteen different banks have been raised in the programme with an aim to woo the customers.
The function of the inaugural day was also attended by members of different local SHGs.
