Assam recorded 37 more COVID-19 deaths and 2869 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

The news has been confirmed by Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Tuesday evening.

While sharing the COVID-19 update of Assam, chief minister Sarma in the tweet said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,52,720 tests.

The COVID-19 positivity percentage recorded on Monday was 1.88%, according to the data shared by the Assam chief minister.

Of the new COVID-19 cases, the Kamrup Metro district registered a total of 198 cases.

While 37 more patients lost their lives due to COVID-19 infection on Tuesday, hundreds of other patients recovered from the disease.

The state’s recovery rate stood at 92.37% on Tuesday.
