Assam reported 34 more COVID-19 deaths and 2433 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta in a tweet on Tuesday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,00,262 tests.
Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro district registered 203 cases.
The state’s positivity rate was recorded at 2.43% on Tuesday, according to the data shared by the health minister.
Hundreds of patients, who were earlier infected by COVID-19, recovered from the disease on Tuesday.
Assam’s COVID-19 recovery rate stood at 94.45% as on Tuesday, health minister Mahanta informed.
