Assam has registered 27 more Covid19 deaths and 2453 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Friday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,53,981 tests.

The COVID-19 positivity percentage of Assam stood at 1.59% on Friday, according to the data shared by the chief minister.

Of the new Covid19 positive cases, Kamrup Metro reported 186 cases.

Hundreds of patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, also recovered from the virus during the day.

The state’s Covid19 recovery rate was 94.19%.
