Assam recorded 222 new Covid19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s overall tally to 2,12,998.
However, there was no Covid19 death recorded in Assam on the day.

Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status on Tuesday night said: “Happy to share that NO DEATH CASE today.”
The health minister informed that the new cases have been detected out of 2,08,528 tests.
“222 Cases detected out of 208528 tests conducted,” health minister Sarma tweeted.

Assam’s positivity rate stands at 0.74%.
Of the new cases detected in Assam on Tuesday, the Kamrup Metro district reported 85 cases.
Meanwhile, a total of 135 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, were discharged on Tuesday after they recovered from the disease.
So far a total of 2,08,528 people have recovered from the disease.
The percentage of the recovered cases in Assam is 97.90%.
Assam currently has 3,486 active Covid19 cases, which is 1.63% of the total cases registered in the state so far, according to the data shared by health minister Sarma.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 981 Covid19 positive patients.
The state’s Covid19 death rate stands at 0.46%.
