Assam reported 134 more positive cases on Sunday, taking the state’s Covid19 tally to 2,12,617.
Confirming the news on Sunday night, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status said the new cases have been detected out of 11,558 tests.

The state’s positivity rate stands at 1.16%.
“134 Cases detected out of 11558 tests conducted with positivity rate of 1.16%,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
Of the new cases, Sarma informed, Kamrup Metro district has reported 57 cases.

Meanwhile, 96 more patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have been discharged on Sunday.
The percentage of the recovered cases in Assam is 97.96%, Sarma informed.
Assam currently has 3350, which 1.57% of the total positive cases registered in the state so far.
The state’s death rate is 0.46%.

On Sunday, Assam reported one Covid19 death, taking the state’s death toll to 981.
The deceased was reported from Udalguri district.
