Assam reported 21 more COVID-19 deaths and 2644 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Thursday evening said the cases were confirmed out of 1,06,760 tests.
The state’s Covid19 positivity percentage was 2.48% on Thursday.
Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro district reported 168 cases.
Hundreds of patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the disease on Thursday.

The state’s Covid19 recovery rate stood at 94.72%.
