Assam reported 20 more Covid19 deaths and 763 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Friday evening said the new cases were detected out of 1,15,465 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

The state’s overall positivity percentage stood at 0.66% on Friday.
The Kamrup Metro district recorded a total of 124 positive cases on Friday.
On Friday, hundreds of other people, who were infected by Covid19, recovered from the disease.

On Thursday, Assam reported 17 deaths due to Covid19 infection and a total of 935 positive cases.
The positive cases were detected out of 1,11,728 tests.
The overall positivity percentage was 0.84%.
On Thursday, the Kamrup Metro district reported 163 cases.
Meanwhile, over 53 crore vaccine doses have been administered across India so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
Active cases constitute 1.20% of total cases, which is the lowest since March 2020.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 3,85,227.
The highest-ever recovery rate currently stands at 97.46%.
A total of 3,13,02,345 recoveries have been recorded across the country so far, according to the Union health ministry data.
A total of 42,295 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours.
India has reported 40,120 new cases in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
