Assam has registered 146 new Covid19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s positive tally to 2,14,165 cases.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 tally said the new cases have been detected out of 28,896 tests.
Assam’s positivity rate stands at 0.51%.

“146 Cases detected out of 28896 tests conducted with positivity rate of 0.51%,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro district has reported 46 cases.
Meanwhile, 178 more patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, were discharged on Wednesday after their recovery.
So far, a toal of 2,09,622 people have recovered from the disease and the rate of recovery stands at 97.88%.
Assam currently has 3,542 active Covid19 cases, which is 1.65% of the total cases registered in Assam so far.
On Wednesday, one more positive patient succumbed to Covid19 infection, taking the state’s death toll to 998.
Assam’s death toll stands at 0.46%.
