Assam reported one more Covid19 death on Wednesday, taking the state’s death toll to 998
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status on Wednesday said: “Sad to share the demise of one #COVID patient today.”

The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Pradip Borah of Dibrugarh district.
“Deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Om Shanti,” the state health minister said.
On Tuesday, Assam reported two Covid19 deaths, taking the state’s death toll to 997.

So far, Assam has registered a total of 2,14,019 Covid19 positive cases.
With the death of one more positive patient, Assam currently has 3,574 active Covid19 cases.
A total of 2,09,444 people, who were infected by Covid19, have been discharged after their recovery from the disease.
