Assam registered 47 new COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday.

With this the total number of COVID-19 cases in the State rose to 1877.

Among the new 47 new cases on Thursday, 33 are from Hojai, six from Dhemaji, four from Bongaigaon, three from Barpeta and one from Baksa.

This was informed by state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on his official Twitter handle on Thursday.

Notably, 413 persons have fully recovered from the deadly virus over the last many days and were discharged from several hospitals across the State.

As of Thursday the State has 1457 active cases.

The State has witnessed four deaths till date.
