Nagaland registered 22 new COVID-19 on Thursday.

With this the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the State went up to 80.

This was informed by state health minister S Pangnyu Phom through his official Twitter handle on Thursday morning.

Phom tweeted:

‘Alert! Out of 171 samples tested at NHAK & Dibugarh, 22 more returnees from Chennai has tested COVID-19 +ve.

Positive           : 80

Active              : 80

Recovered.     : 00

Death.             : 00

Update at 08:55 am, 4th June 2020.’

These new 22 cases are out of 171 samples tested at Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK) and Dibugarh.

All of them have returned from Chennai recently.
