Assam registered 43 new COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday.
Among these new cases, 14 are from Nagaon, 10 each from Golaghat and Kamrup, two each from Jorhat Baksa and Chirang and one each from Karbi Anglong, Dhemaji and Bongaigaon.

With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 patients in the State has gone up to 3943.

This was informed by state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his official Twitter handle on Sunday.

However, 1805 persons have so far recovered from the disease and were discharged from hospitals across the State.

Presently there are 2127 active COVID-19 cases in the State.
The State has witnessed eight COVID-19 related deaths so far.
