The total number of persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur has increased to 449 while the number of active cases is 358, official sources in Imphal said.
Altogether 64 COVID-19 positive cases including 28 male, 36 females were reported from Virus Research and Diagnosis Laboratories of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS-20) and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS-44) since Saturday night, according to a press release by COVID-19 common control room.

Stating that their conditions are stable and they will be shifted to COVID Care facility, the press release also expressed the need to prevent community transmission and advised to wear a face mask whenever going out.
All government offices have been instructed to enforce the wearing of face mask, it added.
Meanwhile, according to a COVID-19 update report, altogether 91 persons have been discharged from hospitals after recovery during treatment.

Meanwhile, the state chief minister N Biren Singh chaired a state-level consultative committee for COVID-19 in Imphal on Saturday.
The meeting was held to discuss many issues including improving management of quarantine centres to check community spread within the centres and outside, increasing COVID -19 tests on first-come-first-serve basis by procuring more testing kits, setting up of more Covid Care Centre across districts, to ease lockdown systematically, etc.
As per latest report available here, 25,628 samples were tested for COVID-19 in the state while 2,66,634 were screened at various entry points of the State.
