Guwahati: The Central Election Committee of the National People’s Party (NPP) has announced its candidates for the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly elections in 2026 as well as the Nagaland by-election.
In a statement issued from the party headquarters in Shillong, the NPP said Daniel Langthasa has been nominated from the 113 Haflong (ST) constituency, while Ganseng Sangma will contest from 28 Boko-Chaygaon (ST) constituency. Aminul Islam has been fielded from the 11 Mankachar (General) constituency.
For the Nagaland by-election, the party has named L. Abenjang as its candidate for the 28-Koridang (ST) Assembly constituency.
The party said the candidates were selected by its Central Election Committee for the forthcoming electoral contests.
