Guwahati: The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) has announced its list of 18 star campaigners for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, with party chief Mamata Banerjee and national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee leading the campaign.
The list includes several prominent leaders and public figures such as Sushmita Dev, Mahua Moitra, Shatrughan Sinha, Babul Supriyo, Kirti Azad, and Yusuf Pathan.
Other leaders named in the list are Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, Sagarika Ghose, Moloy Ghatak, Satabdi Roy, Saayoni Ghosh, Shanta Chettri, June Maliah, Siddiqullah Chowdhury, Mosaraf Hussen, and Dulu Ahmed.
The announcement indicates the party’s effort to step up its campaign in Assam, with senior leaders expected to lead outreach programmes across key constituencies in the run-up to the polls.
