Guwahati: A policeman was killed after allegedly being run over by a truck in North Guwahati in Kamrup, Assam on Friday night.
As per reports, the policeman has been identified as Gopal Chandra Choudhury, a constable posted in Kamrup district.
While it was not known how he died, it was reported that he was on election duty and was heading home when he was run over by the truck.
The police have initiated an investigation in connection with the accident.
It may be mentioned that there has been allegations that the truck was speeding and may have been overloaded making it hard for the driver to control it.
