Dibrugarh: The SPIC MACAY Dibrugarh Chapter will organise a series of Hindustani classical vocal recitals by renowned vocalist Pandit Omkar Dadarkar from January 5 to 7, 2026, at select educational institutions across Assamโs Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts.
Pandit Omkar Dadarkar is one of the most respected vocalists of the present generation and is widely admired for his refined gayaki and deep-rooted classical approach.
Trained in the Gwalior and Jaipur-Atrauli gharanas, he has performed extensively at major music festivals and prestigious venues across India and abroad.
He is also a recipient of the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar.
The recital series will be held at institutions including Oil India Higher Secondary School, Duliajan; Delhi Public School, Dibrugarh; Assam Heights Public School and Budding Buds Senior Secondary School in Tinsukia; and Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh.
Pandit Dadarkar will be accompanied by Mohd. Akhlaq on the harmonium and Anchit Majhi on the tabla, both accomplished accompanists in the field of Hindustani classical music.
The SPIC MACAY Dibrugarh Chapter has been actively conducting programs across government and private educational institutions, with a total of 35 programs held in various districts of Assam in 2025.
The chapter continues its mission of bringing the finest traditions of Indian classical art closer to students through live performances by leading artists from across the country.
