Dhubri police on Thursday arrested a person and recovered four illegal hand-made pistol and materials suspected to be used in the manufacturing of cartridges from his possession in Assam’s Dhubri district.

Dhubri superintendent of police said that the police recovered the illegal arms during a raid conducted in the wee hours of Thursday.

The accused has been identified as Mozibor Rahman of Lalkura in Dhubri district

Anand Mishra said police had got information about the consignments of illegal arms and accordingly a police team conducted the raid at the premises of alleged person and recovered the arms along with other objectionable items.

Police has recovered fake currency notes worth Rs 1,02,000 and 200 gms of gold  from his possession.

The police are investigating into the matter.

According to police sources, there is chances of recovery of more items from Rahman.
