Golaghat district which neighbours Jorhat direct to the West has witnessed a sharp increase in Covid 19 cases.

A district administration official said NCC Cadets of 74 Assam Girls Golaghat (part of NCC Group Jorhat) undertook the challenge of educating marginalized and lesser informed citizenry about the advantages of AROGYA SETU app in fighting and safeguarding against COVID-19.

Led by Under Officer Bristi Priya Das and 12 girl cadets went from door to door in Kamarbandha rural areas to create awareness about the app and various Dos and Don’ts against Corona virus.

Colonel S K Mishra, the Commanding Officer of 74 Assam NCC Golaghat informed that in the coming days such awareness drives would intensified in and around Golaghat town to stop the terrifying spread of COVID-19 in Golaghat district.

He also hinted that social media platforms would be used extensively in near future to launch a variety of campaigns to combat the scourge of coronavirus.
