GUWAHATI: Senior Congress leader and MP from Barpeta constituency in Assam, Abdul Khaleque, has quit the grand-old party.
Assam MP Abdul Khaleque resigned from the primary membership of the Congress party on Friday (March 15).

Khaleque submitted a two-page resignation letter, which was addressed to Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge.
In the resignation letter, Assam MP Abdul Khaleque blamed the Congress party leadership for his decision to quit the party.
