Assam health and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been busy inaugurating different development projects ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections.

The minister laid the foundation stone for a road from Nagaon to Bebejia that is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 8.7 crores.

Nagaon MLA Rupak Sarmah was also present on the occasion.

The minister also inaugurated a newly constructed Clock Tower in Nagaon.

He also interacted with students of the Nagaon Girls’ College.

“Laid the foundations stone for improvement & widening of a road from Nagaon to Bebejia via Birah Benejia, being developed under RIDF of NABARD.This Rs 8.75 cr project will immensely help commuters to and from Nagaon. Indeed good news,” Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.

“The beautiful city of Nagaon, overlooking the mighty Brahmaputra river, gets a new milestone in the new Clock Tower. How happy I feel having inaugurated this amazingly elegant Clock Tower along with MLA @rupaksarmahbjp My best wishes,” Sarma tweeted.
