Assam irrigation and urban development minister Ashok Singhal visited Kokrajhar on Wednesday to review developmental works in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

He also held meetings with senior officials of various departments.

Singhal visited Dotma and Kachugaon blocks and assessed the developmental works under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and other central schemes.

He also visited several places under Kokrajhar development block, Titaguri accompanied by local MLA Lawrence Islary and other higher officials.

He also interacted with villagers and took stock of their problems

Singhal also instructed the officials of different departments to implement all developmental works in a fair and time bound manner.

He also visited some sites of important schemes in Balajan, Bilaspur, Jolaipara and CIT under Kokrajhar Block.

The Minister also attended a review meeting with Bodoland Territorial Council’s chief executive member Pramod Boro, other executive members and senior officers of the council at the BTC Secretariat Kokrajhar.
