The Assam Medical College (AMC) Alumni Association and Academic Forum, Guwahati which was formed in the year 2012 is going to celebrate the 72nd foundation day of AMC, Dibrugarh on November 3 next in a befitting manner at a hotel in Guwahati.
The celebration will mark the fifth edition of Annual Oration, 2018 in memory of Late S N Sharma, former Principal of AMC which is scheduled to be delivered by Dr Alaka Goswami, eminent gynecologist and a retired professor of obstetrics and gynecology department, Guwahati Medical College.

The celebration to begin from 5 pm in the evening will feature several other programmes including the annual general body meeting, a cultural extravaganza and a scientific session among others.
Informing it to this correspondent, Dr N K Beriya, media coordinator of the celebration committee stated that the forum is focusing more on the academic part offering a better platform for the young medical practitioners to explore themselves.
Meanwhile in a press statement, Dr Sangit Dutta, president and Dr Sanjeev Handique, general secretary of the association has appealed to the interested alumni of the college to join hands in the celebration along with their family and ensure their participation in advance by making contact with Dr Rabin Saikia, organizing secretary of the committee at mobile no 94350 34379.
