Guwahati: Amidst the storms in Assam, one more person has been reported to have died in Guwahati after a massive tree fell on a house on Tuesday.
As per reports, the incident took place in the Nabajyoti Nagar area of Panjabari, Guwahati.

Family members of the deceased said that a massive tree fell on their house as they were sleeping.

As the tree fell, a youth identified as Mintu Talukdar died on the spot.

His father was severely injured in the incident.

Locals said that although the family members and neighbours tried to rescue Mintu, it took over one and a half hours to clear the area to recover him.
After the succeeded in pulling Mintu out of the debris and remains of the house, they found that he had already died before any medical assistance could be provided.
