Assam Assam: Man goes missing after boat capsize in Tinsukia

Dibrugarh: One person reportedly went missing after a boat carrying four passengers capsized in the Dibru River near Dinjan Ghat in Tinsukia, Assam on Sunday.

Sources said after the capsized a nearby boat quickly arrived at the scene and rescued all four passengers from the sinking vessel.

“During the rescue operation, those aboard the boat fell into the river complicating the efforts. Manoj Beriya, one of the passengers has been missing,” said a source.

Meanwhile, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) launched an operation to locate Manoj Beriya.

The District administration used boats and divers to search for the missing person. 

“We have been doing everything possible to locate the missing person but facing many problems,” said an official.
