A man in Nalbari’s Mukalmua was allegedly attacked by a recovery agent of a loan company on Tuesday.
The person named Ahmed Hussain has accused a loan recovery agent of a motor loan company attacking him after he said that he would be late on the payments.

The accused has been identified as Abdul Majid of the same area.
According to Hussain, he had bought a motorcycle on EMI two years ago and was paying the EMIs on time but this time he was a bit on the payment.

Although he said that he would pay the EMI by the end of January, Majid had allegedly abused and assaulted him demanding immediate payment.
Hussain was severely beaten by Majid and had to be admitted to a hospital.

Hussain has lodged a complaint against the recovery agent and an investigation has been initiated.
It may be mentioned that there have been several allegations by various people in the state about unauthorized recovery agents.
Sometimes, recovery agents are even accused of forcefully “seizing” vehicles which have pending EMIs.
