In a joint initiative by the Upper Assam Chamber of Commerce and the Jorhat district administration, an auto ambulance service was launched on Monday to bring Covid-19 positive people from various testing centres in the district.
The district administration has also created a website, covid19jorhat.in, from where one can call ambulances, get admitted to the nearest hospital depending upon bed availability, see where the nearest centres are for testing and vaccination or buy essential commodities from a list of telephone numbers of grocers, vegetable sellers, etc.
